Investigators searched the apartment of Kirill Barabash, an activist of the “referendum initiative group for responsible power.” According to the organization’s page on Facebook, the search was carried out in the so -called “referendum case” , which was previously arrested by the writer Yuri Mukhin, his comrade -in -arms Valery Parfyenov and the correspondent of RBC Alexander Sokolov.

The report notes that at first the police tried to penetrate the Barabash’s apartment under the pretext that he allegedly received a statement from the neighbors. After the activist refused to open the door, he was presented with a decree of the Khamovniki court of Moscow on a search. The arrested associates of Barabash - Sokolov, Mukhin and Parfenov - are accused of participating in the recognized extremist organization "Army of the will of the people" (ANV). The organization was banned in 2010. However, according to investigators, the defendants in the case continued to participate in the activities of the ANV, renaming it in the "initiative group of referendum" for responsible power.
