
The Chairman of the European Commission (EC) Jean-Claude Junker supported the extension of sanctions against Russia for another six months, RIA Novosti reports.
“My point of view: we should extend the sanctions for another six months,” the agency quotes the words of the head of the EC.
The day before, the Prime Minister of Italy Matteo Renzi allowed a revision of the sanctions imposed on Russia. According to him, the corresponding issue will be considered at a meeting of the Council of Europe, which will be held on December 18.
Earlier, Italian Foreign Minister Paolo Gentloni stated that the country would support the extension of restrictive measures against Russia.
