The former governor of the Novosibirsk region Vasily Yurchenko denies involvement in fraud in the sale of a building in the center of Novosibirsk. He said in court that all decisions were made without his participation.

According to the agency, on December 18, the indictment was read out in the court in the case of Vasily Yurchenko. Also, lawyer Sergei Nikolaev asked him to allow his client, who is under the recognizance not to leave, to visit Moscow and Karasuk - his relatives live there.

Yurchenko is charged with Part 2 of Art. 286 of the Criminal Code (abuse of authority). According to the investigation, he caused damage to 17.7 million rubles of Gaztransky OJSC, 100% of which owned the region, deciding to “sell” a non -residential two -story building in the center of Novosibirsk, the Tactics company, affiliated with Russian hotels, Oleg Deripaska. Another 4.3 million rubles from the transaction allegedly did not receive the regional budget.

Vasily Yurchenko served as the governor from September 2010 to March 2014, when he was abandoned by the president "due to the loss of trust."
