The attack on the eco-defender Tatyana Pavlova from the village of Selyatino Naro-Fominsky district of the Moscow Region was committed. This was reported on his Facebook page Blogger Oleg Kozyrev. The victim got to the hospital.
Pavlova, since the fall of 2013, which is a deputy of the village council from Yabloko, protects the Selyatinsky forest from cutting down and development. The activist was attacked by representatives of a construction company right during a public hearings according to one of the development projects.
According to Kozyrev, earlier attempts were made on Pavlov.
Several years ago, the administration of the Selyatin sold forest park areas for cutting and building residential buildings. This caused the protests of local residents. At the end of December 2012, the acting The Governor of the Moscow Region Andrei Vorobyov instructed to figure out the situation with the National Forest. Nevertheless, the municipal and district authorities follow the path of confrontation and escalation of the conflict (
On January 30, 2013, Pavlova tried to block illegal work in the forest. She was detained and delivered to the village department of the police. On February 12, the magistrate of the 140th section of Naro-Fominsk Stepan Shimorin fined the eco-defender for 50 thousand rubles under Article 20.18 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (blocking transport communications). A week later, on February 19, he sentenced Pavlov to five days of administrative arrest under part 1 of article 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (disobedience to the legal request of the police officer).
Meanwhile, on April 5, the Naro-Fominsky City Court recognized the administrative arrest of Pavlova illegal , since from January 1, 2013, cases under Part 1 of Article 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses were classified as regional courts, and not magistrates. The decree on the fine was also canceled - already with the wording "due to the lack of an event of an offense."
Activist’s lawyer Dmitry Trunin then noted that eco -defenders rarely condemn administrative arrests. The lawyer associated the severity of Shimorin’s decision with the fact that during the meeting he established the connection of this judge with representatives of the developer. According to Trunin, Shimorin himself turned to the representatives of the Vetromontazh trust, which was in the hall, with a proposal to attach evidence of Pavlova’s guilt, although the developer officially had nothing to do with this administrative case.
Meanwhile, on July 30, 2013, the Forestry Committee of the Moscow Region won the court regarding a forest area with an area of 73 hectares in Selyatin. The rights to this site were disputed by a construction company, which was about to cut down the forest and build multi -storey buildings in its place.
