Picket participants also noted the tightening of repression. They recalled the verdict of Ildar Dadin under Article 212.1 of the Criminal Code (repeated violations at rallies) and similar matters against Vladimir Ionov, Mark Halperin and Irina Kalmykova. In recent weeks, the manifesto noted, the zoo robber Victoria Pavlenko was also convicted, artist Peter Pavlensky and anarchist Dmitry Buchenkov were arrested.

Earlier, the Crimean prisoners Oleg Sentsov and Alexander Kolchenko received long terms. A comparable period threatens the Ukrainian captive Nadezhda Savchenko.

It is also noted in the manifesto that the name of the picket refers to the rally of the same name, held six years ago by 17-year-old nationalist Ivan Astashin, who, together with the group of comrades on the eve of the FSB Day, set fire to the building of the specialist in the southern district of Moscow. After that, the case of an autonomous combat terrorist organization was fabricated against him and his friends. A number of defendants in this case, including Astashin himself, received a long time in the colony . Meanwhile, human rights organizations refuse to recognize Astashin and other defendants in the case of ABTO Politseki.

“We want to restore justice and tell people about such prisoners as Ivan Astashin,” the manifesto says. “As anarchists Alexei Sutuga and Ilya Romanov. As Primorsky partisans. As publicist Boris Stomakhin ... They have not earned a huge time in painful isolation.”

"We urge citizens to protect the political prisoners. To demand freedom to prisoners, to achieve this goal in all possible ways," activists also say.
