The opening is timed to the mythical birthday of Stalin. In fact, the dictator was born not on December 21, 1879, as indicated in his official Soviet biographies, but on December 18, 1878.

“It will be a scientific -historical and cultural center, where we will study Stalin’s experience and share it with all over Russia,” said Kamnev. The purpose of creating the center, according to the communist, is "the popularization and updating of those practices that were used in Stalin's times and which are relevant now."

Meanwhile, in Moscow, on Monday, the laying of flowers took place in the grave of Stalin. During the event, an icon depicting the dictator and its close associates was shown.

In early September, the Penza branch of the Communist Party suffered a bust of Stalin from the old building of the regional committee to the new, in the city center.
