The prosecution asks that Ivan Nepomnyashchikh be imprisoned for three and a half years

At the debate in the case of Ivan Nepomnyashchy, accused of participating in the mass riots that allegedly took place on Bolotnaya Square on May 6, 2012, and using violence against two policemen, the prosecutor asked to sentence the defendant to three years and six months in prison. Earlier, other defendants in the Bolotnaya case, Alexei Polikhovich, Denis Lutskevich, Stepan Zimin, Alexei Gaskarov, Alexander Margolin, were sentenced to the same term.

The prosecutor said that Nepomnyashchikh on Bolotnaya "obstructed arrests, behaved aggressively, got into fighting stances," according to the May 6 Committee on Twitter. The policemen, according to him, acted in accordance with the law, and therefore no cases were opened against them. The words of defense witness Olga Nikolaenko, whom Nepomnyashchikh helped to get up from the ground when she fell as a result of police actions, that she saw tents and damaged asphalt on Bolotnaya, the prosecutor considered evidence of riots.

Nepomniachtchi refused to participate in the debate. Earlier, he actually refused to answer the prosecutor's questions, taking advantage of the 51st article of the Constitution.
