At the same time, according to the president, “today Europe is what it is, with all the internal contradictions and with all the positive trends of its development” and “it is not necessary to write it off”. In particular, Putin drew attention to the “desire of the euro to take a position” of one of the reserve currencies of the world. “The euro nevertheless stably holds its positions, conquers and, it is very good, conquers space for itself as a global reserve currency. This is good because when there is one reserve currency - this narrows the possibilities for maneuvering the entire world economy, ”the Russian President emphasized.

Putin also explained what, in his opinion, is guided, European and American politicians building his relationship with Ukraine. According to him, no one is going to protect the interests of Kyiv, but are trying to prevent the reconstruction of the Soviet Union. “As for Ukraine and in general the post -Soviet space, in general, I am convinced that the position of our Western partners, European and American, is connected not with the protection of the interests of Ukraine, but is connected with an attempt to prevent the recreation of the Soviet Union, and no one wants to believe that we have no goal to recreate the Soviet Union,” President Putin said.

Vladimir Putin assured that Moscow in the international arena acts as carefully as possible, but is not afraid to intervene in international affairs. “We are not afraid, we just behave more restrained. And if we do something, then we try to protect ourselves as much as possible from possible negative consequences, ”Putin said.

But the United States does not think about such consequences, Putin is sure. “They don’t think about it, they are great, sitting behind the ocean, the dollar is a world currency, this is the largest economy in the world.
