An attempt to organize a show of a seagull in the village of Kushchevskaya ended with a beating

On Thursday, December 17, a young man named Artem entered the cinema "Friendship" in the village of Kushchevskaya. At the request of acquaintances-FBK employees-he tried to find out at the directorate whether it is possible to show a seagull film in the cinema. A few minutes later, they attacked a young man.

The film tells, in particular, about the connections of the families of high -ranking employees of the Prosecutor General’s Office with relatives of the leaders of the “Tsapkov gang”, who had terrorized the village of Kushchevskaya for several years.

Activist of the Krasnodar branch of the Party of Progress Alexei Mandrigel, who told about the attack on Artem , emphasizes that he has nothing to do with the FBC or the party headed by Alexei Navalny. For safety reasons, Mandriegel does not name the surname of Artem.

According to him, at about eight in the morning of December 17, Artem met with the representative of the Friendship cinema to agree on the show of the film “Seagull” of the Corruption Fund Alexei Navalny. 10 minutes after Artem left the cinema, two people attacked him on Sovetskaya Street. Unknown struck Artem with reinforcement on the head, and when he fell, they beat his feet. Artem received a concussion and numerous bruises.

At a meeting at the cinema, Artem went at a friendly request, he himself was never a political activist. Immediately after the attack, Artem left the village. As Mandrigel says, Artem saw the faces of the attackers, they are unfamiliar to him. He is not going to contact the police yet:

- FBK addressed us to agree on the show of the film "Seagull" in the village of Kushchevskaya. Unfortunately, none of our activists live in the village, so I asked my friend to go and agree on a meeting. He went and disappeared. I asked him on the 16th, and on the 17th he disappeared from the connection, and only on the 18th in the morning he called me and said that when he walked back, his head was broken. Two people ran up and began to beat. Then they took the phone and disappeared. The attack occurred on December 17, in the morning, immediately after his negotiations. I don’t know exactly how much he went in the morning.

- And with what cinema did he agree?

- The cinema "Friendship", if I am not mistaken.

- That is, before he was attacked, he talked with the director of the cinema?

- Yes, he went to negotiate with the person responsible for the shows, with the director, after which he disappeared from the connection. And only on the 18th he called me and told me what happened to him.

- And what happened at the meeting, did they agree on the show?

-Artem said that he was asked to call 18 in the morning and talk more specifically. When Artem called me on the 18th, I called the cinema, handed the phone to the director, I asked the question whether it was possible to remove the cinema for a closed show. The answer followed: "No, in no case! We have a dense mesh, movies are going on every day." That's the whole conversation with the cinema on the phone. We were refused the show. And at the moment, Artem left the village, as he feared for his health.

- What is the name of the person with whom he spoke?

- Unfortunately, I can’t find out the information, because now Artem’s phone is turned off.

- What is the name of Artem?

“I can’t pronounce it because Artem asked me to limit myself to a name.” At the moment, Artem is not in Kushchevka, he left there. Where - we are not saying it either. I’ll clarify that Artem is not a supporter of the FBK or opposition, this is just my friend, and he fulfilled a friendly request. That is, he is not involved in the opposition. And my post was designed to ensure that the people who attacked him realize that this is a random person, and left him alone.

- How does Artem feel now?

“I don’t know now, but when we talked with him, Artem felt normally.” He has a closed head injury, concussion, and small bruises. We talked with him this morning.

- Now Artem is not in the hospital?

- He left Kushchevskaya, but he was not in the hospital. The injuries are not quite heavy, a person can walk and talk, his head is just broken.

- He was beaten on the head with reinforcement, that is, he has serious injuries, as I understand it?

- Yes, they knocked on the head with reinforcement, after which he fell, and he was beaten with his feet again.

- How many attackers were there?

- Artem said that two. And he had not seen these people before.

“ But he saw their faces?”

- Yes, I saw faces.

- Did he go to the police?

- No, he did not turn, because he is afraid, and the very idea of writing a post was discussed for a very long time. We thought to release him on the weekend, but stipulated all fears and risks, and decided to post for additional protection. In any case, we think that the people who beat Artem already know, and we hope that he will be left alone.

- Artem does not plan to contact the police at all?

- We are waiting for what will happen next. Artem wants him to be just left alone, so that nothing like this is repeated anymore. But if the threats continues or pressure will be on it, then he is ready to publish his video interview and a certificate of beatings.

- Is Artem not related to political activity?

- No, Artem is in no way connected with political activity, does not adhere to any side, that is, neither the opposition nor the authorities. Absolutely neutral person.

- How then could the attackers learn about his activities related to the film "Seagull" that he agreed on the show of the film in the cinema?

- I think there are two options. The first - this Artem talked with his friends directly in Kushchevskaya to decide where to go, to whom to approach, to agree. Either the information leak came from his acquaintances, or, respectively, from those people with whom he discussed the show of the film. This information was closed, I asked Artem personally, and this was not advertised anywhere.

-You do not think that you could somehow trace, read, hack the correspondence?

- We used a closed telegram chat and Skype. I don’t know, perhaps, they could somehow, but I think that just someone said to someone. And since the village is not a city, everyone knows each other, the information could easily go to those people who are not interested in shows of this kind. But in general it is strange. I think that if we were simply refused and the physical impact was not applied to Artem, then there would be no news. It is not clear why to beat a person, thereby creating the news that does not benefit them.

- And you have assumptions, who can be interested in this?

- I think those about whom the film is the bandits who are involved in the theft of state property and the budget.

- That could there be revenge of people associated with her tunes, in your opinion?

- It is likely that yes. Or this is the initiative of people in the field. That is, people who simply decided to curry up, as usual, and give a person on the head.

- And what was the reaction in the Kuban, in Kushchevka after the FBK “Seagull” was released?

-In Kushchevka, no one knew about this, because it was still a village, and even the distribution of the film in social networks is limited to the framework of certain Internet resources that not all people read. If a person is not interested in this information, he will never go to the site on which it is posted. Therefore, we wanted to go to Kushchevskaya in order to familiarize the locals with the film about the trousers, Seagull and so on.

-With some cinemas in the Krasnodar Territory, managed to agree on the show?

- No, and now all the negotiation attempts are stopped. We see a catastrophic situation that in fact a person could be killed, so we are not going to substitute someone further. There will be no contracts with the same Kushchevskaya. And perhaps we will try to agree on the show in Krasnodar, but, most likely, it will also be canceled.

- Do you have information about cases of pressure on political activists or people who help in the Krasnodar Territory in connection with the film?

- At the moment, only Artem has suffered. There is no information from the village of Kushchevskaya at all, we do not know what is happening there.

- And in Krasnodar?

- There was no pressure in Krasnodar. We hope that the news that we distributed will rather protect us than harm us. And we hope that there will be no pressure. There is hope that people in the Kremlin will calm people in the field so that they do not commit unlawful actions. I would like to hope for it.

- And you do not hope for court?

- If the pressure will continue to be on Artem, a person will simply leave to another place, after which the video, documents about the beatings will be published, and Artem will be ready to submit an application to various departmental bodies on the fact of the attack.

The Corruption Foundation published the film “Seagull” on December 1. The investigation refers to the possible connections of the family and the environment of the Russian Prosecutor General Yuri Chaika and the criminals convicted of the Mass Murder in Kushchevskaya. In particular, according to the FBK, the former spouse of Deputy Yuri Chaika Olga Lopatin led a joint business with the wives of Sergei Tsapk and Vyacheslav Tsepropy.
