Kyiv: the European Union is preparing a "list of Savchenko-Sensov"

The European Union is working on the possibility of launching the Savchenko-Sensov sanctions list by analogy with the Magnitsky List. According to the 112 Ukrainian TV channel, this was stated by the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Pavel Klimkin. According to him, sanctions will be imposed if Ukraine and Russia do not agree on the exchange of prisoners.

Work on the list, according to Klimkin, has already begun. "We started talking about the use of this mechanism. I think it will be a separate mechanism, although it was about adding names to the Magnitsky List. Many European Parliamentarians support this approach," he said. At the same time, Klimkin emphasized that "so far the attitude to this idea is not so much careful, but careful in terms of terms."

In Kyiv, according to him, they hope for the possibilities of political agreements. If the agreements are not reached, then work on this mechanism will accelerate significantly, Klimkin emphasized.

Hearing on the merits of the case of the Ukrainian pilot Nadezhda Savchenko began in September. The process is conducted by the Board of the Donetsk City Court of the Rostov Region. Savchenko is charged with points “A”, “E”, “l” of part 2 of Article 105 (the murder with a generally hazardous way of two or more persons based on political hatred, perfect by a group of persons), part 3 of Article 30 are paragraphs “A”, “E”, “E”, “L” of Article 105 (attempt on the same crime) and part 1 of Article 322 of the Criminal Code (illegal crossing of the border). The pilot threatens up to 25 years in the colony. She does not admit her guilt.

As stated in the case, Savchenko, after the start of Russian aggression in Ukraine, who served in the Aidar volunteer battalion, on June 17, 2014 handed over the coordinates for artillery shelling to the battalion, as a result of which the VGTRK employees Igor Kornelyuk and Anton Voloshin died. In fact, Savchenko was captured by the LPR militants even before shelling, during which Korneluk and Voloshin were killed, and was illegally taken to Russia, where the case was fabricated against her.

The 39 -year -old film director and activist of Avtomaydan Oleg Sentsov at the end of August was found guilty under Part 1 of Article 205.4 (organization of the terrorist community), paragraph "A" of part 2 of Article 205 (a terrorist attack committed by an organized group), part 1 of Article 30 - paragraph "A" part 2 of Article 205 (preparation for the organized group) and part 3 of article 222 (illegal weapons of weapons (illegal weapons. and explosives committed by an organized group).

The college announced proven that Sentsov led the sabotage and terrorist group of the "Right Sector", which is assigned the arson of the headquarters of the "Russian community of Crimea" and "United Russia" in Simferopol, as well as the preparation of the explosion in the Crimean capital at the monument to Lenin. The film director was sentenced to 20 years of strict regime. Sentsov himself did not admit his guilt.
