The presidential administration will not hold a festive New Year's Eve, said the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov.
Nevertheless, the traditional solemn reception on behalf of Vladimir Putin will take place. According to the Kremlin speaker, all public and political figures, cultural figures, military leaders, leadership of the government and administration will be invited to it.
“This is a huge tradition. This cannot be called a corporate party, this is a state event, ” TASS quotes Peskov.
There are no events planned for ordinary employees of the presidential administration. In some divisions of the administration, “people are chipping in and wishing each other a Happy New Year,” Peskov added.
Peskov declined to comment on Chubais' statement. Earlier on Tuesday, December 22, appeared a video from the Rosnano corporate party on the Internet. On it, the head of the state-owned company, Anatoly Chubais, proudly declared that Rusnano had "a lot of money."
