
The Nizhny Novgorod Directorate of the Investigative Committee terminated the case of extremism, initiated against civil activist Pavel Butko, a former member of the prohibited army of the will of the people. The lawyer of the defendant Yevgeny Gubin said about this to the Franes. Butko was charged with part 1 of Article 282.2 of the Criminal Code (organization of activities of an extremist organization), which provides for two to eight years of the colony.
The case against the activist was opened no later than last year - at the end of 2014, he already turned to the services of Lawyer Gubin. The reason for the persecution was that on the website of the ABN, the Butco phone was indicated as contact. The accused himself insisted on the absurdity of the prosecution. He explained that he really was in the ABN before its ban, and was the only participant in the organization in Nizhny Novgorod. Nevertheless, the activist noted, since 2011 such a structure does not exist. The last record left by Butko in the VK group AVN dates back to February 24, 2011 and reports the ban on the organization.
“The investigator came to my house two years ago and was convinced that I was not engaged in any unlawful activity,” Butko told Butko at the end of 2014. Nevertheless, the case was initiated and investigated.
However, the prosecutor refused to approve the indictment and returned the case to the investigator to eliminate violations. The investigation department eventually closed the case in connection with the expiration of the statute of limitations of holding to justice, that is, on an non -rehabilitating basis.
