Oleg Sentsov's claim against the FSB and a number of media outlets was rejected

The Meshchansky District Court of Moscow rejected the suit of director Oleg Sentsov against the FSB and a number of media outlets for the protection of honor and dignity. This was reported on Twitter edition of “Frontiers. RU".

Sentsov, who was sentenced to 20 years in a strict regime colony on charges of terrorism, demanded a refutation of the information spread shortly after his arrest: he was reported to be a member of a sabotage and terrorist group involved in the activities of the Right Sector.

Among the defendants, in addition to the FSB, were Channel One, the All-Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company, NTV and the Media Content company, which owns the Life News publication. The defense insisted that the FSB and the media had no right to talk about Sentsov as a terrorist, since at that time there was no court decision. The representative of the All-Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company stated at the trial that “it does not matter at what point the reliability of the information was established, but now this has been confirmed by two instances.”

Currently, Sentsov and the anti-fascist Alexander Kolchenko, who was convicted along with him (he was sentenced to ten years in a strict regime colony), have been transferred from pre-trial detention center No. 4 in the Rostov region, subordinate to the FSB, to pre-trial detention center No. 1 - this may mean that they are being prepared for the stage.
