Ilya Romanov was placed on preventive registration in the Nizhny Novgorod pre-trial detention center

On December 23, anarchist Ilya Romanov, who is in custody in Nizhny Novgorod, was summoned to a meeting of the administrative commission of the pre-trial detention center. There he was notified that he was placed on preventive registration as prone to studying, promoting, professing or disseminating extremist ideology. At the same time, the administration of the pre-trial detention center had no reason to register Romanov - the anarchist did not have a single penalty during his entire stay in custody.

Pre-trial detention center-1any On August 6, 2015, Ilya Romanov was convicted under four articles of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation: Part 1 of Art. 30 hours 1 tbsp. 205 (preparation for a terrorist act), part 1 of Art. 222.1 (illegal storage, transportation or carrying of explosives or explosive devices), Part 1 of Art. 223.1 (illegal production of explosives) and Part 3 of Art. 30 hours 2 tbsp. 205.2 (attempted public calls for terrorist activities committed using the media) to 10 years in prison in a strict regime colony and a fine of 110 thousand rubles. On December 15 of the same year, the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation, having considered the anarchist’s appeal, reduced his term of imprisonment by a year.

At the moment, Ilya Romanov is in the Nizhny Novgorod Federal Institution and is waiting to be transferred to a colony.

Indeed, the guilty verdict is based entirely on the testimony of the main prosecution witness, Svetlana Volkova, who was reasonably suspected of collaborating with the FSB. Also in the case file there was evidence fabricated by the prosecution.
