"Game of Thrones" has become the most popular by Internet pirates by the series, among the films the leading "Interstellar"

The series based on the books of George Martin "Game of Thrones" more often than anyone else, illegally downloaded on the Web in 2015, Torrentfreak calculated. At least 14.4 million downloads were recorded. This result allowed the series for the fourth time to take the first line in the list of preferences of Internet pirates.

More than half of the downloads were the first week after the start of the new season. According to representatives of Torrentfreak, their number exceeded the number of official spectators of the Game of Thrones in the USA.

In second place are the “walking dead”, which scored 6.9 million downloads, in the third - the “Big Bang Theory” (4.4 million times). The TOP-10 also included the “arrow”, “flash”, “Mr. Robot”, “Vikings”, “SuperDeep”, “Black List” and “Fors-Majora”.

And the Variety portal published a list of the most popular films from Internet pirates. The rating was compiled on the basis of the data of Excipio, which monitors the publication of illegal content on the network.

The first place (46.7 million downloads) was taken by Interstellar, in second place "Forsaj -7" (44.7), in the third - "Avengers: Era of Altron" (41.5 million). Also in the top ten of the Jurassic World, Mad Max: Road Road, Sniper, 50 Shades of Gray, Hobbit: Battle of the Five Armies, Terminator: Genesis and Kingsman: Secret Service.
