In Kirov, protesting truckers are driven out of Konev Square, where they intend to stand during the New Year holidays. According to their protest page on the VKontakte social network, they were forced to leave Konev Square because they were threatened with evacuation of their cars. Earlier that day, in front of their eyes, the traffic authorities hung a sign outside their parking lot allowing the vehicles to be evacuated.
Andrey Zheludkov, one of the protesters, writes that law enforcement officials warned truckers that under one of their cars “they might find a bomb and carry out a counter-terrorist operation.” After the truckers moved to another parking lot, “there was an unexpected need to clear it of snow,” writes Zheludkov.
