Anti -Turkish sanctions entered into force

Russian sanctions against Turkey entered into force on January 1. This is provided for by the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation, which was signed on November 28, 2015.

Sanctions suggest a ban on the supply of vegetables (tomatoes, onions, colored cabbage and broccoli, cucumbers), fruits (citrus fruits, as well as apples, pears, grapes, drainage and strawberries), chicken and turkey meat, as well as salts and fresh carbacons. The government of the Russian Federation prohibited for importing goods approved on December 1.

Also, from January 1, Turkish organizations or companies controlled by Turkish citizens do not have the right to engage in Russia in Russia, architectural and engineering design, tourist business and hotel. In addition, sanctions provide for the abolition of a visa -free regime with Turkey.

At the same time, the government has compiled a list of companies for which an exception is made. It included 53 organizations - among them large construction companies, as well as Renault Russia and Ford Sollers, engaged in assembling cars.

The Russian Federation decided to establish sanctions against Turkey after the Turkish Air Force shot down the Su-24 bomber on the border with Syria. Moscow requires Ankara to apologize for the incident.
