
Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev signed a resolution on approval of the state program "Patriotic education of citizens of the Russian Federation for 2016-2020". The document is published on the government portal. The functions of the coordinator during the implementation of the state program are assigned to the extinct.
The program "is focused on all social strata and age groups of Russian citizens while maintaining the priority of patriotic education of children and youth." The aim was “Creation of conditions for improving civil liability for the fate of the country, increasing the level of consolidation of society to solve the problems of ensuring national security and sustainable development of the Russian Federation, strengthening a sense of citizens' involvement in the great history and culture of Russia”.
The state program involves the involvement of more public-state, youth, children's associations, non-profit organizations to work on patriotic education. In addition, an increase in the share of volunteer organizations operating on the basis of educational institutions is provided. The number of students participating in patriotic events should also increase.
As part of the state program, 11 indicators are established, including to evaluate the activities of federal and regional executive bodies.
The total financing of the program will be 1.666 billion rubles in five years, including 92.5 million due to extra -budgetary sources.
On October 29, President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the creation of the All-Russian Children's and Youth Organization "Russian Movement of Schoolchildren" to improve state policy in the field of educating the younger generation and promoting the formation of personality on the basis of "the values inherent in the Russian society," the decree notes.
The founder of the organization will be performed on behalf of the state by Rosmolodezh. The government was instructed to determine the list of property that will be transferred to the new organization by the end of March 2016. The budget should be provided with allocations for the provision of subsidies to the "Russian movement of schoolchildren."
To ensure the interaction of executive bodies, local self-government with the "Russian movement of schoolchildren" will be the "Russian Children and Youth Center", which will be created under the Rosmolodezh.
