In Serbia, at the request of Russia, the former mayor of Sergiev Posad, Viktor Bukin, was detained, suspected of taking a bribe. This information was received by the Russian Embassy in Belgrade.
“We are waiting for an official notification from the Serbian side,” the Russian Embassy in Serbia said.

- The criminal case against Viktor Bukin was initiated in July 2014. According to the investigation, the suspect demanded a bribe from a commercial company for the execution of a court decision to collect a debt from the administration of Sergiev Posad in favor of this company. The debt amounted to 48 million rubles. As stated in the case file, Bukin extorted half of this amount.
- When transferring part of the bribe in the amount of six million rubles, an intermediary was detained. He was charged with mediation in receiving a bribe on an especially large scale.
