The dollar exchange rate on the Moscow Exchange on the morning of January 6 grew by 68 kopecks and reached 74 rubles. According to Interfax, this happened for the first time since December 2014.
The euro exchange rate is kept at the level of 79.43 rubles, the European currency has risen in price by 71 kopecks.
The decline in the value of the ruble may be caused by the continued fall in oil prices (a barrel of Brent is trading around $35) and the depreciation of the Chinese yuan.
