
A petition with a proposal to appropriate one of the new chemical elements of Mendeleev’s periodic table. The name of the recently deceased founder, leader and bass player of the legendary rock band Motorhead Ian Freiser Kilmister, known as Lemmy, has already signed more than 141 thousand people on the Change.org portal.
A few days after the death at the end of December 2015, the Motorhead leader, the International Union of Theoretical and Applied Chemistry (IPAC) announced the approval of new chemical elements of the periodic table of Mendeleev with atomic numbers 113, 115, 117 and 118.

The name for the 113rd element should choose Japanese scientists, the right to name the rest is granted to Russian and American researchers.
Activists propose to name the 115th element of the periodic table of Mendeleev "Lemmium" (Lemmium) - named Lemmy Kilmister. "Lemmy was the natural power and essence of the Heve -Metal style," the appeal says.
Lemmy Kilmister died on December 28, 2015 at the age of 70.
For 40 of their existence, Motorhead sold more than 15 million discs. In August 2015, the group released its 22nd album called "bad magic."
