Ukraine arrested the pension of Yanukovych

The Pechersky District Court of Kiev arrested the pension accounts of the former president of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych and the former Prime Minister of the country Nikolai Azarov, Ukrainian News report.

Accounts were opened in the state Oschadbank. The court arrested them on December 21, 2015, but it became known only now.

Pensions are frozen as part of the investigation of the theft of state editing in 2010-2013, which is accused by Yanukovych and Azarov. Investigators believe that both defendants committed a crime during the construction of a special communications network.

Yanukovych and Azarov accrued a deputy pension of about 17 thousand hryvnias - about 55 thousand Russian rubles.

In April 2014, the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine announced the freezing of pension payments of both politicians.
