The program of the festival "2morrow/tomorrow" is announced

From January 26 to January 31, the Moscow Museum will host the IX International Festival of Modern Cinema "2Morrow/Tomorrow". He will be opened by Alexander Sokurov’s film “Francophony”. The festival program has Russian and Moscow premieres of paintings by Russian and foreign directors united by the topics “Borders” and “Other”.

The main competition program of the festival has eight works of filmmakers from Austria, Brazil, Germany, Greece, Russia, Slovakia, USA and France:

• “Those who are falling can fly” (Jeder, Der Fällt, Hat Flügel, Austria, 2015), dir. Peter Brunner;
• "Evolution" (Evolution, France-Beligia-Span, 2015), dir. Lucille Adzalilovich;
• "Chevalier" (Chevalier, Greece, 2015), dir. Athena Rachel Zangari;
• “Weather in closed spaces” (Das Wetter in Geschlossenen Räum, Germany, 2015), dir. Isabella Schtever;
• "Goat" (Koza, Slovakia, 2015), dir. Ivan Ostrookhovsky;
• "Bird" (Russia, 2015), dir. Vladimir Bek;
• “Neon Bull” (Boi Neon, Brazil-Urwawai-Niserland, 2015), dir. Gabriel Mascaro;
• “The songs that the brothers taught me” (Songs My Brothers Taught Me, USA, 2015), dir. Chloe Zhao.

The festival builds its own concept around the theme of the borders (territorial, borders between arts, between its own and strangers) and another (as a carrier of a different national, social, bodily or existential identity), Kinote.info reports.

These topics will be devoted to the constant Tomorrow section, which will present 13 films, including Earth and Shadow ( La Tierra Y La Sombra ), Cesar Augusto Avedo (Golden Camera Prize of the Cannes Festival for the best full -length debut), and the JE Suis Un Autre program (“I am another”), among the films of which new works are new works Hubert Sauper, Sharunas Bartas, Sean Backer and Rada Zhuda.

In addition to the Francophony of Sokurov, the films “And the mountains move” ( Shan he Gu Ren ) Jia Zhanke, Pablo Trepero (Silver Leo for the Best Direction of the Venetian Film Festival ) and Asphalte ( Asphalte ) will be presented in the Gala Francophony program. As part of the festival, the 2morrow film school organizes several meetings with Russian and foreign leaders of the film industry: master classes directed by Peter Brunner (Austria), and teacher of the Berlin film school, director Isabella Stver (Germany), as well as a master class for the scriptwriters “Launch of the imagination: how to develop a simple idea into an intriguer The plot ”, which will be attended by director and screenwriter Angelina Nikonova, writer Zhuzha Dobrashkus, psychologist Ekaterina Ignatova, editor of Mars Media Vasily Krypatsky and BBDO creative director Eldar Gincharadze.

In addition, in the days of the Gallery 21 festival, the exhibition “Reflection” (curators Ksenia Podoynitsyn and Tatyana Sherstyuk), dedicated to the role of artists in the formation of a public point of view on historical events.
