Germany refused the visa of the head of the Ministry of Agriculture Tkachev

The German Foreign Ministry refused the head of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, the former governor of the Krasnodar Territory Alexander Tkachev on a visa to participate in the annual Berlin Agrarian exhibition "Green Week". This was reported on the website of the Russian Ministry. The reason for this decision was Tkachev’s presence in the sanctions list of the European Union.

In response, the Ministry of Agriculture announced the refusal of Russia to participate in Green Week.

Tkachev himself noticed in connection with the decision of the German Foreign Ministry: "I was forced to state that such steps do not benefit not only bilateral cooperation, but also the agrarian sector of Germany itself." According to the official, anti -Russian sanctions brought the German agricultural industry a loss of about 1 billion euros. Tkachev substantiated his statement with a reference to some experts.

This year, the Green Week takes place from January 15 to January 24. Russia participated in the exhibition for 22 in a row, and always, as Interfax notes , the state of the state was headed by the Minister of Agriculture.
