The Prosecutor General’s Office announced the intention to verify the Fund for the fight against corruption (FBK) of Alexei Navalny. The department included the organization in the consolidated plan of checks of business entities for 2016. The audit is scheduled for August 2016 and will last 20 days. The Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation has submitted to the list of non -profit organizations recognized by “foreign agents”, two more NPOs - interregional public organizations “Bureau of Public Investigations” and the “Committee on Prevention of Torture”. The decision was made on the basis of unscheduled inspections by the departments of the Ministry of Justice in Nizhny Novgorod and Orenburg. As the head of the Committee on Prevention of torture, Igor Kalyapin, told NT , the reason was the donations of Russian citizens working in organizations with foreign financing. The committee, however, has already announced his intention to continue his activities in Russia.

The suspect of the murder of Boris Nemtsov Anzor Gubashev during the interrogation put forward his version of the crime. He claims that the killer was Beslan Shavanov, who was killed during the detention in Chechnya. Anzor Gubashev admitted that he drove by car with Shavanov on the day of the murder.
