
Currency mortgage borrowers held protest promotions in the offices of Deltacredit and VTB-24 banks. It is reported by RBC.
In the department "Deltakredita" at Mokhovaya Street, the house of 7 gathered more than a hundred people. Some of them chained themselves to the armchairs in the operating room, two girls to the front door. They stated that they would not leave until the bank management would come to them. The assembled borrowers chanted: "We demand a fair restructuring at the rate recommended by the Central Bank."
Five protests were detained. The bank said that they were ready to restructure loans, and more than two thousand people have already taken advantage of this program.
About 50 people gathered in the VTB office, reports Moscow. They also demanded a meeting with the management of the bank. The participants in the action insisted on discussing individual conditions on loans. Some already have court decisions on eviction. About an hour later, the head of the bank’s economic security department came to the audience. After a conversation with him, people parted.
On Wednesday, the dollar on the Moscow Exchange set a historical record , reaching 81.049 rubles. The previous time the dollar record was recorded on December 16, 2014, when it amounted to 80.1 rubles. The cost of the euro reached 88.41 rubles.
Since the end of 2014, when the collapse of the ruble began, foreign exchange mortgages have been conducting protest promotions demanding state assistance to calculate on loans. Meanwhile, on January 14, 2015, the first deputy chairman of the Central Bank Ksenia Yudaeva said that the regulator should not provide such assistance . However, on January 23, the Central Bank recommended banks to restructure the exchange mortgage on the rate on October 1, 2014, when the dollar cost 39.4 rubles. This recommendation was nevertheless fulfilled, and, despite the statements of the first deputy prime minister Igor Shuvalov and the head of the Central Bank Elvira Nabiullina, there were no help to the borrowers.
