Russian President Vladimir Putin jokingly praised government members for the fact that most of them did not go to the World Economic Forum (WEF), which started on Wednesday in Swiss Davos. The head of state took part in the work of the All -Russian Forum of Entrepreneurs, held by the All -Russian public organization of small and medium -sized enterprises "Rossiya" in Moscow. He noticed that many ministers were present at the plenary meeting, TASS reports.

“I look, there are a large number of my colleagues from the government. It is not clear who went to the mountain skiing to Davos. They went with great desire to go, now they don’t ride,” Putin, who was quoted by Interfax , remarked with a smile.

In response to the replica of one of the forum participants that in this way members of the government are saving public funds, Putin agreed: "Apparently, there is not enough money for tickets. They save. Good! We need to work at home!"

The forum, in particular, was attended by the head of the Central Bank Elvira Nabiullina, Minister of Economic Development Alexei Ulyukaev, the head of the Ministry of Finance Anton Siluanov, reports RBC . Earlier it was reported that Nabiullina will come to Davos, where he will take part in the debates about the global debt problem.

The Russian delegation at the Davos forum opened by the President’s envoy - Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Trutnev. The organizers said, as the main topic, the onset of the fourth industrial revolution. The forum participants will also discuss a number of relevant political and economic topics, including an unprecedented drop in oil prices, the removal of sanctions from Iran and the threat of terrorism.

Forum "Small business - national idea?" Opened in Moscow on Tuesday. One of the topum topics is the strategy for the development of small business in Russia. As previously stated by the head of the “Rossiy of Russia” Alexander Kalinin, the project of the strategy should be prepared by the Ministry of Economic Development and submitted to the government until February 1, along with plans for its implementation for 2016, as well as for the period of 2017-2018.

Putin, speaking at the “support of Russia” forum on Wednesday, said that the domestic business coped with the working conditions during the crisis. "The last two years were quite complicated for the economy, objective difficulties affected almost all of its sectors, but it should be noted that in general the business survived, including small," the head of state said. Putin expressed the opinion that businessmen "even open new opportunities, referring to the exchange rate difference and some opportunities in the markets."
