The day before, the door to the GTG building was broken, where the exhibition takes place.
This was reported by Interfax with reference to the press service of the Tretyakov Gallery.
“We stopped selling online tickets for the Serov exhibition after visitors broke the door to the gallery on the eve,” the press service explained.
On Thursday evening, January 21, people who stood in the cold in line at the Serov exhibition broke the GTG door on the Crimean shaft. “Those who bought tickets online thought that they had the right to pass without a queue,” commented in the museum. As a result of this, before entering the building there was a crush. After the incident, security was strengthened in front of the entrance to the GTG on the rat shaft.
Exhibition "Valentin Serov. On the 150th anniversary of his birth ” , the largest personal exhibition in the history of the Tretyakov Gallery, opened on October 7. Since then, according to the press secretary of the GTG Anna Kotlyar, it has been visited by about 400 thousand people.
According to RIA Novosti in the press service of the GTG, the exhibition will not be extended and will close on Sunday, January 24.
