
Roskomnadzor initiates a second analysis of the articles of Russian Wikipedia in the Unified Register of Prohibited Information. This was reported on the website of the department.
Currently, on the basis of the decisions of the FSKN and Rospotrebnadzor, seven articles are included in the register containing a description of the methods of production and use of drugs (MDMA, Methamaphumine, Amphetamines, Cocaine), as well as suicide methods (“suicide”, “methods of suicide”, “self -support”).
"From the moment of entering the register, the editors of the Internet ended in these articles were made amendments. An additional expert analysis is required to determine the degree of compliance with the current versions of the legislation with the requirements of the legislation. The expert discussion is planned to be carried out in the Wikipedia of the Wikipedia format," the RKN report. During the existence of the registry, 34 entries were made to it against 22 articles of Russian Wikipedia. In 22 cases, the decision was made by the FSKN (articles on drugs), in 11 - Rospotrebnadzor (suicide methods). One article on the drugs of Charas was included in the register on the basis of a court decision.
On December 22, the head of Roskomnadzor, Alexander Zharov, said that the department would want to establish "systemic interaction" with Vikipedia editors . "Globally, we hope that there will be a platform for a dialogue between the Wikipedia and the authorities that make decisions on locks. But so far there is no such site, unfortunately, the community of the Wikipedia editors is very discontinuated, they cannot fully agree. Now the Wikipedia editors have written a letter to its founder Jimmy Waylsa, and they are waiting for its verdict - it is worth communicating ( The Russian authorities - Ed.) Or not, ”said Zharov.
Meanwhile, on Twitter Wikipedia to the question of "faces", whether the editors are going to interact with the RKN, answered negatively: "Unless one of the editors as a private initiative, without declaring themselves a representative of Wikipedia."
