A mysterious revolver appeared in the case of catching Palm

At the end of December 2015, in Sweden, they allegedly found a revolver, from which Polof Palma was killed in 1986. He was sent to the local journalist and criminologist an anonymous source. The key evidence could shed light on one of the most mysterious crimes of the 20th century, but after several weeks of discussion of the find, it turned out that the revolver is not the same. "Medusa" retells this story, simultaneously recalling the death of the death of the most famous Swedish Prime Minister.

The Prime Minister of Sweden Polof Palma on February 28, 1986 decided to go to the cinema with his wife in the evening. They showed the Swedish comedy "Brothers Mozart." The couple of Palma released the bodyguards, watched the film and went home on foot. On one of the central streets of Stockholm, an unknown person attacked them-he shot twice at the prime minister and disappeared. Until now, they have not found him.

Almost 30 years have passed since the murder, millions of Swedish crowns have been spent on the investigation, but the police are still unknown either the murder or the names of the killer and the customer. Rather, this is: there are a lot of names of the suspects and motives, but there is not a single version that would explain everything and have at least any serious evidence.

Polom Palm led an active foreign and domestic policy, he had many ill -wishers. Among the common versions - the assumption that Palma was killed by the Yugoslav special services. Another popular idea is to eliminate its CIA. Some are sure that the crime has a “Kurdish trace”, others believe that Swedish extremists did it. Finally, it is possible that Palma with someone was mixed up (for example, with a drug lord); Or maybe he was shot by some mentally unbalanced person.

The latest version, by the way, is considered almost the most likely. In the case, a certain Krister Peterson, who was arrested in 1988, even passed in the case. The unbalanced young man, who took drugs, hated the catch of Palm and admitted that he killed him (as, indeed, more than a hundred people before and after him). Peterson was identified by the wife of the Prime Minister of Sweden, which gave the court a reason to find him guilty and give life.

True, already in 1989, the next instance justified Peterson for the insufficiency of evidence - the murder was not found, no intelligible evidence that Peterson was not in this place in this place. Peterson was released. Since then, they tried to resume this against him several times, but each time there was not enough reason. In 2005, Peterson died. In recent years, evidence against Peterson has increased (for example, his diary was published), but with all confidence it is impossible to call him a killer.

In general, in the case, in which, it seems, they interrogated everyone who is possible, new hypotheses periodically appear. The last time the media discussed in detail the case of Palma in 2012 , when the wife of billionaire Hans Christian Rauzus, Eva, informed one of the Swedish journalists that her husband knew the customer of the murder - they supposedly were one of the local businessmen.

In the same 2012, Eva Rausing died under mysterious circumstances: just say that Hans Christian kept a corpse in the apartment for two months and did not tell anyone about death. Eve Rausing did not manage to present any convincing evidence of the “business version” of the murder of Palm.

Hans Christian, in turn, was tried for failure to do. Then he underwent a rehabilitation course in a psychological clinic, and in 2014 he re -married . In the case of Elof Palm, he spoke definitely : Eve came up with everything, Hans Christian himself knows nothing.

At the end of 2015, the case of Elof Palma again surfaced in the Swedish press, and again under mysterious circumstances. The criminologist, journalist and author of detectives Leif Gustav Willy Person said that back in 2013, he received a letter with a bullet from a certain anonymous source, which could be released from the same revolver from which Palma was killed. He handed over the bullet to the Palm group (forensic scientists who are still investigating the case), and Ta studied it thoroughly.

According to Persson, by the end of 2015, with a sufficient degree of probability, it was possible to find out that the bullet could really be attached to the case. Swedish criminologists set points from –4 to +4 with similar evidence, and the bullet received either an estimate of +1 or +2. Just at that time, Person managed to get the revolver itself - he received it from the same anonymous source as the bullet, and immediately handed over the weapons to the experts.

Nothing is known about the source of Persss. Persson himself does not tell anything about him. To the honor of the criminologist, Person never claimed that the weapon was precisely connected with the murder of Palm and did not try (this is evident from publications in the Swedish press) to give himself significance in this story. The criminologist always argued that new evidence needed to be verified.

By January 13, 2016, the first tests of the revolver were held - it turned out that he was produced before the murder. This gave the hope that the first truly important evidence appeared in the case of catching Palm.

By January 20, the audit was completely completed. She assigned the revolver an estimate of –1 on the same scale from –4 to +4. This means that most likely the weapon is in no way connected with the murder. It is not even a fact that the police will continue the analysis of this find - the hope for the anonymous source of Persson was not justified.

On the one hand, nothing sensational happened: as part of the investigation of the murder of the catch of the catch, the police conducted an analysis of about half a thousand various trunks, and Persson’s finding simply must be put on a par with others. On the other hand, the more time has been passing since 1986, the more ghostly the chances of the fact that the case will ever be revealed. A wide discussion of this story, which unfolded in the Swedish press in early 2016, may be the last in general-few people believe that the killer will suddenly find after a 30-year searches.
