Serov's exhibition extended for a week

The exhibition of Valentin Serov, which takes place at the Tretyakov Gallery on Krymsky Val, has been extended for a week - until the end of January. According to the director of the Tretyakov Gallery, Zelfira Tregulova, six works must be returned abroad by January 29, so they will be removed on Monday, January 25.

The director of the Tretyakov Gallery noted that on the eve of the museum's specialists examined all the exhibits of the exhibition and came to the conclusion that they could be kept on display for another week.

• Serov's exhibition has been held in Moscow since October 7, 2015. Since its opening, more than 450 thousand people have visited it (about 4,100 people a day). Sometimes people had to stand in line for several hours in the cold.
• On January 21, visitors who had stood for several hours in the cold broke down the door to the gallery. After that, the Presidential Human Rights Council asked to extend the exhibition for a week, and the Ministry of Emergency Situations set up a field kitchen next to the queue.
