Putin: Kadyrov works effectively

Vladimir Putin approved the activities of the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov. “He works effectively,” Putin’s words about Kadyrov reports at the ONF inter -regional conference in Stavropol.

In the last two weeks, the head of Chechnya was in the center of a loud scandal. On January 13, he declared the Russian unsystematic opposition "enemies of the people." In response, the deputy of the Krasnoyarsk City Duma Konstantin Senchenko called Kadyrov a shame of Russia. The next day, however, Senchenko, under the threats of Kadyrovtsev, disavowed his statement and apologized to the head of Chechnya.

After that, other politicians spoke in support of Kadyrov. Some - as, for example, the speaker of the Chechnya parliament Magomed Daudov and the State Duma deputy from the same region Adam Delimhanov - were not shy in expressions. They expressed insults and threats against critics of both Russian and Chechen leaders.

Kadyrov’s approval was also announced by some mass culture figures, in particular film director Fedor Bondarchuk and singer Nikolai Baskov.

Kadyrov himself also made several new statements. In particular, he promised the opposition to the VIP-space in the psychiatric hospital of Chechnya.

On January 22, a huge rally was held in Grozny in support of Kadyrov. According to the Chechen official news agency, the event gathered more than 1 million people, despite the fact that the entire population of Chechnya is less than 1.4 million. Participation in the rally, according to the inhabitants of the region, was forced.

Meanwhile, the Presidential Council for Human Rights announced his intention to subject Kadyrov’s statement about enemies of the people of a linguistic examination and send Putin its results. Some of the opposition representatives urge Putin to resign Kadyrov.
