Putin criticized the tariffs adopted under his leadership on the M11 highway

Russian President Vladimir Putin criticized the fare along the M11-Moscow-St. Petersburg paid highway, Interfax reports.

“Well, now in Moscow in the direction of St. Petersburg they began to build a road, one section was commissioned, so no one rides there, they“ swept away ”the prices so that it is impossible to drive,” said the head of state, speaking at the forum of the All -Russian Popular Front.

Rosavtodor (Federal Road Agency) signed an agreement on the paid section of the M11 from the Moscow Ring Road to Solnechnogorsk (15–58 kilometers) with the North-Western concession company (SZKK) in 2009, when Putin was headed by the Government of the Russian Federation (by the concurrent by the concession agreement, the head of the Rosavtodor Anatoly Chabunin). The tariff mesh is based on this document.

The site became paid since November 16, 2015. The fare to Sheremetyevo is from 80 to 250 rubles, to Solnechnogorsk - from 160 to 500 rubles.

During the New Year holidays, the SZKK reduced the fare for cars. Prior to this, the authorities of the Moscow Region announced their intention to appeal to the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation with a proposal to reduce the fare for M11. The head of the region Andrei Vorobyov called the “disaster” the current tariffs for travel on the highway.

The SZKKK includes the Vinci Concessions operator and the Russian transport and infrastructure group Mostotrest, at the time of the construction of the paid site, owned by the Marc O'Polo Investments, Igor and Arkady Rotenbergs. Rotenbergs have not been owners of Mostotrest since April 2015.

SZKK won a competition for the construction of a site from 15 to 58 kilometers in 2008. The fare along the highway from Moscow to St. Petersburg is estimated at a thousand rubles.
