In 2011, the new mayor invited him to head the Lyceum at the Federal University, but soon Shmakov started the fight against corruption and again lost his service [1]. The team split in two, Pavel Shmakov created a new school for intellectually gifted children, but the confrontation with the authorities did not end.

The Sun was closed by the Sun by court decisions, licenses were not given for a long time. From the closure of the school, active students and their parents saved the school: they rallied, repaired the school at their own expense. The city hall allocated 13.3 million rubles. We asked Pavel Anatolyevich a few questions.

- What, from the point of view of the prosecutor's office, is an administrative offense?

- The violation is that for five children living in a boarding school, we have not yet built a dining room. It will be built in a couple of years. At best. The sketch project of the annex has already been approved on the city council and the commission under the President of the Republic of Tatarstan. It was very difficult. But the republic has not yet allocated money ...

- Will the Sun Sun have new inspections of the civil service?

- There were already two checks of Rospotrebnadzor in this academic year. The first is when we asked them to bring rats. So they did not get out, but we were fined [2]. Our school is the best in the exam in mathematics of this year. Now we have over 30 winners and winners of 120 students, that is, every fourth ... and there are many other things. -In 1997, they tried to dismiss you, and in 2000 they still fired from the post of director of the Academic College. How is this due to your activity as a deputy of the Kazan City Council?

- Of course, there is a connection. It was then that new post -communist groups of influence on real policy were formed. I was one of the four co -chairs of the Democratic faction, the strongest in the City Council of the capital of Tatarstan.

- What was this activity? What have you achieved?

- I have been an ordinary deputy for a year. The whole first year of the five deputy I created a permanent commission for social protection, mercy and charity. When the main preparatory work was done, I collected written comments on this idea of ​​more than 100 deputies and created a program of activity, I managed to raise the question of the commission for a singing vote. 113 people were for, several people (and among them the then mayor of Iskhakov) were against. I was chosen by the chairman of this commission, and I entered the Presidium of the City Council. Then I learned the whole “kitchen”: how decisions are made in power. And in the commission we created the first overnight stays and free canteens, began to think about homeless people and hospices, about orphanages ...

- Our school is based on the concept of working with intellectually enthusiastic children. There is a famous intellectual school in Moscow. Or school number 239 in St. Petersburg, Lyceum No. 31 in Chelyabinsk. A lot of beautiful schools that collect cream. We have a fundamentally different approach. We are not looking for those who can, but those who want, ”says Pavel Anatolyevich.

As stated on the website of the school www.shkolasolnce.ru , its mission is “the preparation of a new generation of schoolchildren, the main distinguishing features of which are intellectual enthusiasm, cognitive complexity, the desire to non -standard information; Intensive creative activity, high determination . " That is, it is not so much in talent as in indifference. The concept did not undertake from the air: the school principal is in love with his own business and conveys this love to the pupils, their parents and teachers.

To get to the Sun school, you need to take three exams: mathematics, Russian and, oddly enough, your favorite object. Exams take eight times a year, you can retake them, and the best result is taken into account.

According to Shmakov, mathematics and Russian are present in the list of entrance examinations solely because of the exam, things are difficult, but overcome:

- In a similar way, they surrender to the rights. A beautiful blonde, who has empty in her head, can also pass. But she will sit and teach for two months. In the end, there are a lot of stupid people behind the wheel, but they can drive a car and there are many normal drivers among them. If you do something fundamentally not very complicated, if you try, then you will do everything in the end. They also act to us. Anyone can do, you just need to work.

And everything can be a favorite subject: someone is studying the stars, someone watches ants, someone likes to solve problems:

-“Show your favorite business”-this is the main principle of admission to us: we are looking for a child who wants something. At least something.

The school does not punish either children or teachers for being late. Winner school students can teach elders. You can also go to school on the weekend. And the doubles, of course, remain in the second year, but get a chance to pass all debts and study further:

- The boy came to us. I don’t know whether he is gifted or not, but he has three deuces in the first quarter. And he is fantastically in love with history. I don’t know what will happen to him, but he tells about his story to the sitting mathematics, who cannot stand history. Believe me, about a year later they will cease to hate these objects.

Pavel Shmakov graduated from the Department of Theoretical Nuclear Physics of MEFU, has been working in the school education system for more than 30 years: he taught at a physical school, at the Academic College at the Kazan State University, spent eleven years in Finland, conducted classes in physics, mathematics, chemistry in Finnish schools. All this time he is looking for his own school model.

- Our school basically lives according to its own laws. And not Russian, and not in Finnish. In the Valdorf system, say, the school is managed by the college of teachers. There is no official, director who leads the school. I am not saying that this is bad, but our system, in my opinion, is better. We have a third of us from 35 teachers - a head teacher, each of them has from 0.1 to 0.7 of the deputy director. One teacher is engaged only in electronic magazines or only olympiads. This is our school, we lead it together. Our principle is this: you do something, get some salary for this salary, but most importantly-you are a teacher, you teach children.

Life always boils at school: either the chamber rehearses the choir, then classes in circles are passing. Pupils here can linger for a long time after lessons - this is in the order of things. And for many, the sun is the house in the literal sense of the word: in the second building of the school there is a boarding school, where six children are not from Kazan and several Kazan ones: those who are far to get.

“In Finland, say, a school is a place where children want to go,” Pavel Shmakov draws parallels. -I remember, a check from the prosecutor’s office came to our sun many times, due to the fact that during the spring holidays we made a camp with an overnight stay right at school. In Finland, this is customary - children at school play guitars and have fun. Why go on hikes for this - here it is, your native school. Do you want to climb your feet with your feet - who will look? The teacher, of course, remains, but he himself walks in jeans, shorts. This is such a vacation.

Shmakov calls the sun a school for awakened children:
