The State Budgetary Institution “Small Business of Moscow” broke the lease agreement with the non -profit partnership “Center for Culture, Cinema and Social events” 35mm ”.
According to Izvestia , this happened back in December, and now the GBU “Small Business of Moscow” filed a lawsuit in the Moscow Arbitration Court to recover debt from the cinema in the amount of 3 million rubles.
Claims to 35mm in the press service of the Small Business of Moscow are justified by the fact that the cinema during the “significant period” of 2015 and to the present does not pay for rent. According to the co -founder of 35mm Nikolai Divakov, there are legal grounds for this.
“In 2013, repair work began in the central house of the entrepreneur, where“ 35mm ”began. Under the agreement in this case, the cinema is exempted from the rent. He explained. - However, instead of six months, the repair still continues, and we, in order not to lose the audience, decided to continue to work - albeit with one hall, in extreme conditions, at our own expense, without water, heating. And many thanks to the audience that, despite all the inconvenience, they continue to come. ”
The 35mm leadership sent a claim to the Moscow Arbitration Court to invalidate the termination of the contract with the GBU “Small Business of Moscow”. “The arbitration will put an end to our dispute, but we are ready to move - we already have several proposals from our partners. Regardless of the outcome, the 35mm brand will remain on the new site. We will do everything to preserve our audience, which believes and helps us, ”said Divakov.
““ 35mm ”has always been more than just a cinema - rather a community. - says Olga Dykhovichnaya, director of the 2morrow/Tomorrow festival. - This is the first platform that formed an audience of author's cinema in Moscow. I remember, for example, it was here for the first time that it became possible to watch the films of Kim Ki Duk, and many other directors. Largely, thanks to the 35mm, the author’s segment ceased to be considered something marginal (Nadezhda Kotov, Anton Mazurov, Sam Klebanov attached a hand to this process), and many other cinemas throughout Russia picked up its format. Of course, in Moscow there is also a “Pioneer” and a documentary cinema center, but they have their own niche. And it will be bitter and unfair if such a platform as "35mm" will not become in our city. "
Since 2000, when the 35mm cinema began working in the Central House of the Entrepreneur (CDP), Russian premieres of many festival hits took place there, thematic festivals were regularly held-Czech cinema Czech in , Italian cinema Nice , Korean shorts of K-SHORTS , music films by Music Film Festival and others.
In 2013, the building of the Central House of Artists was transferred to the Office of the GBU “Small Business of Moscow”, at the same time the repair began in it, which continues to this day.
The GBU of Moscow “Small Business Moscow” is a subordinate institution of the Department of Science, Industrial Policy and Entrepreneurship, created to support small and medium -sized businesses.
