On January 30 and 31, the premiere of the DYMOVOKA Family Ballet of the Ballet Moscow theater will host the ZIL Cultural Center in the production of choreographers Anastasia Kadruleva and Artem Ignatiev.
“The team of young directors rethought the fairy tale Hans Christian Andersen, known to us since childhood. Thumbelina appears as the inhabitant of the puppet house of a little girl, ”the website of the Ballet Theater reports.
As a musical accompaniment, the composer Arkady Marto, the founder of the project of the Moscow Grooves Institute , chose Tchaikovsky's “Seasons”.
The scene is designed in the form of a huge puppet house. The author of the scenery is the St. Petersburg artist Sergey Illarionov, the 2016 Golden Mask Award. The artist Ekaterina Malinina worked on the costumes together with him.
“The objects appearing around the heroine are many times more than her. This play of scales and flat decorations is unusually important and stylized as Japanese stuffs - landscapes, where miniature figures of people emphasize the beauty and significance of the surrounding nature. ”
“The scenery comes to life thanks to the animation, and together with the heroes of the fairy tale, the audience finds themselves in a cozy children's room of a little girl, in the underground house of a mole, frog swamp, in a flowering meadow. A variety of paintings of the seasons change are unfolding in front of the audience. ”
