The latest reports sound frightening. The epidemic threshold is exceeded by almost 40% in 47 constituent entities of the Russian Federation - this is the data of Rospotrebnadzor. The number of people who died from the country is 70 people. Quarantine has been announced in children's and medical institutions, public events are canceled. When you read these lines, statistics will be irrelevant, it changes every hour.

To panic or not is a personal choice of everyone. True, the media, especially the TV, do everything so that panic moods are multiplied. Starches of empty classes, cursed corridors of the clinic, masked people. Entering the subway is an inevitable and personal feat, sneeze by accident in a present place - immoral and asocial behavior.

One thing is obvious: the country before the threat of influenza was, according to the winged expression of the legendary Prime Minister Chernomyrdin, in a situation where "there was never this, and here again."

The Ministry of Health on the main page of its site gives a chronicle of news from the regions. The chronicle reports that in St. Petersburg, antiviral drugs and masks ended in pharmacies. In the coming days, they will be brought up. The Rostov-on-Don has already been brought, but the other day there was a crush in pharmacies. Oxoline ointment and masks cannot be bought in Petrozavodsk. But in Chechnya, everything is under control - the region did not even come close to the epidemic. “We have a sufficient reserve of drugs and respiratory equipment,” said the Minister of Health of the Republic.

However, the problem of influenza does not end only on increasing prevention measures. In the end, the vast majority of the adult population, even at the peak of the epidemic, will go to work by going down the subway or getting on the bus, which will inevitably violate the commandment of Roszdravnadzor, published on his website: “Avoid traveling and crowded places. Observe a distance of at least 1 meter from patients. ”

This advice is especially “relevant”, given that the incubation period of the influenza reaches several days and the potential danger literally “in the face” will not work.

The main question that worries everyone is to save me, if I catch the deadly dangerous virus, remains without a clear answer. The recommendation to immediately fit into bed and call the doctor is certainly useful. But nothing is said about the country who are ready to come on call in the country is not said. Meanwhile, given that the most vulnerable category of patients is children, it becomes clear that pediatricians in the country will work at the limit of opportunities in the coming weeks. These opportunities clearly do not meet the needs. A resident of Arkhangelsk Elena Dotsenko wrote on social networks: “They called an ambulance for Matvey, 39.6. We were put in line. We are 603 (six hundred and third). The ambulance arrived at two in the morning. ”

This, in my opinion, is the most difficult and poorly solved problem in the fight against influenza. In St. Petersburg, for the period of the epidemic to the clinics, it was decided to send more than 200 residents and interns from universities. Moscow is still silent about the mobilization of this resource.
