According to the press service of the GTG, the decision to hold the action was made "in connection with the stunning interest of Muscovites and guests of the capital, caused by the exhibition of Valentin Serov ."
Today, January 29, two days remain before the exhibition. Since the beginning of October, it was visited by more than 470 thousand people, in the press service it was called "an unprecedented record for the Tretyakov Gallery."
The GTG several times extended the hours of operation of the exhibition, in November its completion was postponed from January 17 to 24, and on January 23, the day before the closure, it was decided to postpone the closing of the exhibition for another week - until January 31.
