Russian figure skaters Evgenia Medvedeva, Elena Radionova and Anna Pogorilaya took the first three places at the European Figure Skating Championships, which takes place in Bratislava.
Evgenia Medvedeva scored 215.45 points in the short and free programs, Elena Radionova and Anna Pogorilaya - 209.99 and 187.05 points, respectively.
Fourth place went to Angelina Kuchvalska from Latvia with 176.99 points.
- On January 28, Russian figure skater Maxim Kovtun became the bronze medalist of the men's competition. The first two places were taken by the Spaniard Javier Fernandez and Alexey Bychenko, who plays for Israel.
- The European Figure Skating Championship began in Bratislava on January 26. The winners in pair figure skating and ice dancing will be determined on January 30. The tournament will close on January 31st.
