Under St. Petersburg, a bus with tourists got into an accident: more than 20 victims

A tourist bus got into an accident in the Vyborg district of the Leningrad region: 22 people were injured, of which eight are in serious condition, RIA Novosti reports with reference to a source in the regional services of the region.

The accident occurred on the 158th km of the Scandinavia highway. According to TASS, the bus collided with a standing truck. Another picture of the accident is transmitted by the regional site 47news : according to it, the Scania bus drove into the oncoming lane, where he collided with a truck.

The administration of the Leningrad region later called the cause of the accident and clarified its picture: "Three cars participated in the accident. A passenger car that was driving in front of the bus, spun on an icy road. The bus tried to avoid a collision, made a maneuver and crashed into a truck."

On the bus, following from St. Petersburg to Kotka, there were 36 passengers. The source of RIA Novosti said that all of them are Russian citizens.

Ten victims of helicopters were evacuated to St. Petersburg

Eleven victims as a result of an accident in the Vyborg district of the Leningrad region are evacuated for treatment in St. Petersburg, ten of them - helicopters. This was reported to TASS in the press service of the Russian Emergencies Ministry.

Two helicopters of the North-West Aviation and Rescue Center of the Russian Emergencies Ministry and three helicopters of the Ministry of Health of the Leningrad Region worked on the evacuation. One person was transported on a reanimobile.

During the transportation, the condition of the seriously ill patients did not deteriorate. They were accompanied by doctors of the All -Russian Center for Emergency and Radiation Medicine named after A.M. Nikiforova and the Center for Disaster Medicine of the Leningrad Region, reported to the Ministry of Emergencies.
