One of the convicts tried to hide, but the police quickly caught up with him. The second resistance was not provided, the sheriff said.

It was established that the prisoners were able to get the tools, and then cut the metal rods of the grille in the utility room. On Saturday, after 5:00, they got out to the roof of the prison, went down with the help of interconnected sheets and went free to the technical tunnel.

The warders learned about the escape, the initiator of which is considered by Naer, only after 16 hours. They did not find three prisoners during verification, carried out late at 21:00. The reason for the delay was a fight between prisoners. Investigators do not exclude that the brawl was inspired in order to give the fugitives the opportunity to go away.

The day after the escape, the convicts stole a white van. According to the prosecutor Hatchens, the main suspect in the theft is the surrendered police Douong. Criminals who remained at large can still use the car so far.

The active searches of the fugitives were conducted, in particular, in the cities of Westminster and Garden-Garden, where the numerous Vietnamese diaspora lives and ethnic criminal groups operate. It was there that two of the fugitives could find a refuge-20-year-old Tierta and 43-year-old Doon, having Vietnamese roots.

The former marine of Iranian descent Hussein Nari, who is now 37 years old, was convicted of drug trafficking, robberies, abduction, cruel torture and murder. In 2012, with the help of a soldering lamp, he tortured one of the drug dealers, achieving information about where he buried the money belonging to the gang. Then the “Second Hannibal Lecter” forced one of the gangsters to cut the genitals from the victim, after which the crippled man died. Subsequently, Nari tried to move to Iran, but he was detained on the way to Spain, where his family was.

The prison of Santa-Ana was built in 1968, it is located 50 kilometers from Los Angeles. Currently, the institution contains about 900 male criminals. The escape from this prison, committed a week ago, is the first over the past 30 years.
