The musician died in New York on January 10 from liver cancer, which he fought for the past year and a half. Two days before his death, the last album of the performer Blackstar was released. According to the AR, Bowie wrote the will in 2004.

The real estate belonging to the musician was estimated at about $ 100 million. According to the testament, all the property of the musician passes his family - wife Iman and two children, Dankan and Alexandria. The spouse will receive about half the condition of the performer, as well as an apartment in Manhattan, where the couple has lived for the past 20 years. Children will share the remaining part of the money, and the daughter of Bowie - Alexandria - will get the house belonging to him in the state of New York. The singer also bequeathed $ 2 million to his close friend and personal assistant Korinn Schwab. Another $ 1 million he allocated Marion Skin - the former nanny of his son.
