Recall that after the terrorist attack on board the A321 Airbus Airlines Kogalymavia, which executed a flight from Sharm Esh-shoikh to St. Petersburg, the Russian authorities suspended the air traffic with Egypt and forbade domestic tour operators to sell tours to the Russians to this country.
Earlier it became known that the ban on flying to Egypt for Russians may soon stop . The speaker of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Sergey Naryshkin, after meetings with Egyptian President Abdel Fattahu As-Sisi and the chairman of the parliament Ali Abdel Alem, promised to return to Russian tourists the opportunity to relax in this country.
Naryshkin discussed with the Egyptian authorities the restoration of tourist flow from Russia. According to him, this problem can be solved in the near future, since the issue of security of Russian tourists is successfully solved. "We discussed the possibility of restoring the flow of Russian tourists to the resorts of Egypt, and I am sure that in the near future we will be able to solve these problems," Naryshkin noted.
The head of the State Duma noted that at present, employees of the special services of Russia and Egypt are developing a set of measures that will ensure the safety of Russian tourists. He also emphasized that the collapse of the Russian aircraft in the sky over Sinai did not affect the relationship of Russia and Egypt. Russia is grateful to the leadership of Egypt for understanding its concern on the security of tourists from the Russian Federation.
