The court recognized Buchenkov's first arrest as legal

On February 1, the Moscow City Court recognized the arrest of the person involved in the Bolotnaya case, Dmitry Buchenkov, as legal. According to a RAPSI correspondent, the court rejected the complaint of lawyer Svetlana Sidorkina against the decision of the Basmanny Court to place Buchenkov in custody, which was made in the presence of a lawyer by appointment and in the absence of Sidorkina, with whom an agreement had already been concluded at that time.

This incident was the reason for filing a complaint with the Federal Chamber of Lawyers about the violation of the right to defend the accused and suspects when providing a lawyer by appointment.

Meanwhile, in January, without waiting for an appeal against the first arrest decision, the Basmanny Court extended forty years of Buchenkov's detention until June.
