The Ministry of Communications included the first programs in the register of Russian

The head of the Russian Ministry of Communications Nikolai Nikiforov signed a decree on the inclusion of the first three programs in the Unified Register of Russian Software. This was reported on the website of the ministry.

School courses in computer science and lexicology from the 1C-Plishing developer and the system of data management of the Red Database Database from Red Soft LLC were included in the register on January 29. The decision on this was made at the absentee meeting of the Expert Council on the domestic software, which took place a day earlier.

In November 2015, the government banned the installation of foreign software for public procurement, with the exception of cases when there are no programs with the necessary characteristics in Russia.

Then the European Business Association threatened to withdraw from the Russian market of foreign IT companies and asked to transfer the document to force to six months-from January 1 to July 1, 2016. It was assumed that during this time the departments will develop criteria for localizing foreign developers in Russia so that their software could also be included in the Unified Register of Russian Poe.
