The court in Germany upheld the verdict "Hacker Hell"

The Bonn Land Court upheld the sentence to a German citizen of Russian descent Sergei Maksimov for hacking the mail and the theft of personal data of users, the German Wave reports . In addition, he will have to pay legal costs, which are estimated at 30 thousand euros.

The court again admitted that Maksimov acted on the Internet under the pseudonym "Hacker Hell" and was involved in the hacking of the leader of the progress party, Alexei Navalny, a hacking of the account of the German citizen of Russian origin Igor Petrov and the removal of unnamed information.

During the trial, the defense insisted that the investigation did not have enough evidence confirming Maximov’s guilt. In addition, lawyers hinted that representatives of the Russian authorities were most interested in the hacking of Navalny’s account, and not the defendant himself.

On August 5, the court of first instance sentenced Maksimov to one and a half years of conditional detention , 400 hours of correctional labor and a fine of 400 euros in favor of Amnesty International. He has been appointed a trial period of three years. The court decided not to return confiscated computer equipment.

The prosecutor asked for Maksimov two years of real imprisonment. Under German laws, previously uninterested, any period of less than two years has been prescribed conditionally.

The trial of Maksimov began on June 24 . The German Internet provider confirmed that hacker Hell's hacks were made with IP address Maksimov. The defendant himself denied his guilt and claimed that he downloaded the materials discovered on his computer from the sites in free access.

Navalny, whom the court called as a witness, could not participate in the process. The FMS refused him to issue a passport, referring to the conditional time of the politician.

On June 18, Navalny said that a criminal case was opened in Germany against a person known as Hacker Hall . According to Navalny, he and his associates gathered all the available material about Hell's personality. It was confirmed that he acted from the territory of Germany. In the fall of 2012, the collected material was sent to the German prosecutor's office.

On the night of June 26, 2012 , the post office and Twitter Navalny were hacked . Navalny then wrote on his blog: "I hacked the e -mail and through it twitter. It is obvious that through computers/iPads seized during the search. Such is the Investigative Committee." The “Haker Hall”, which in November 2011, already published the correspondence of Navalny in November 2011.

In December 2011, hackers hacked the LJ of the writer Boris Akunin (Grigory Chkhartishvili) and his mailbox on Gmail. All notes disappeared from the Borisakunin user's diary. The hackers left the inscription "Zasim I dedicated the Pacific Gregorore Mudoshvil into the revolutionaries." This inscription on style coincides with other messages "Hell".

Hall took responsibility for hacking e -mail of a number of Russian opposition, in particular, Andrei Malgin, Valeria Novodvorskaya, Vladimir Prelilovsky, Lilia Shibanova. At the same time, the hacker claimed that he was not associated with any structures and acts exclusively of "ideological considerations."
