Yuri Bashmet will play the party in the opera "Altist Danilov" in honor of the anniversary of Alexander Tchaikovsky

People's Artist of the USSR Yuri Bashmet on Wednesday, February 3, will take part in the performance of the Pokrovsky Musical Theater - the opera "Altist Danilov", which composer Alexander Tchaikovsky dedicated to the musician.

In honor of the upcoming 70th anniversary of the composer and artistic director of the Moscow Philharmonic, Yuri Bashmet will perform solo on Alt in the play, RIA Novosti was told in the theater press service.

The novel "Altist Danilov", which combines domestic descriptions of the capital's life and phantasmagoria, was written by writer Vladimir Orlov in 1980. As TASS notes, the main thing in the novel was the theme of the demonic in man and human in the demon.

According to Bashmet, when the novel appeared, he “won the right of Alta as a solo instrument,” and everyone asked him whether he was familiar with the author, and convinced that he was Danilov’s prototype. According to the musician, as it turned out in one of the programs "Dream Station", which in those years he led on television, the real prototype of Danilov was the altist of the Bolshoi Theater Orchestra Vladimir Grot.

“Time has passed, the novel is not forgotten, but they have already stopped associated me with Danilov ... And then my old friend Alexander Tchaikovsky says to me:“ You know, I wrote the opera “Altist Danilov” and I devote it to you, ”Bashmet said.

Alexander Tchaikovsky devoted not only the opera to Bashmet, but also other works: the second altov concert, the ballad for Alta with the Harold in Russia orchestra, the fourth symphony with Alt. The premiere of the opera "Altist Danilov" took place on December 15, 2012.
