Former Novosibirsk Governor Yurchenko denies his involvement in the theft of 152 million rubles

The ex-head of the Novosibirsk region Vasily Yurchenko, in respect of whom several criminal cases have already been instituted, denies his involvement in the new case of theft of funds during the construction of the industrial and logistics park (PLP), as part of the investigation of which Yurchenko and his family members were held on the eve of searches . According to TASS, the former governor claims that this case was previously closed behind the lack of corpus delicti.

“A similar criminal case was initiated and investigated for two years, and then it was closed behind the lack of an event of a crime. The only difference: then in the case the amount of 20 million rubles appeared, and now - 152 million. This time investigators seized the same documents. Let them investigate. I have nothing to do with the decision to initiate a criminal case, and my relatives also said.

The searches were held the day before in the apartments of Vasily Yurchenko, his son and wife both in Novosibirsk and in Moscow. The media noted that the politician can become a defendant in a new business.

The industrial and logistics park in the Novosibirsk Region was created in 2007 by order of the governor of the region, the founder is the regional agency of regional development (AIR). The total area is two thousand hectares. In the period since 2011, more than 4.5 billion rubles were allocated to the development of PLP from the regional budget, private investments amounted to another 7 billion rubles.

The Control and Audit Chamber of the Novosibirsk Region in 2011-2012 conducted an audit of the work of the industrial park. According to the KSP, the indicators planned in the program development program were not achieved. The revenue of residents amounted to only 436 million rubles, which is less than 1% of the volume planned by the program.

Recall that two criminal cases are considered against Yurchenko. According to one, he was accused of excessing official powers in the sale of land in the center of Novosibirsk, another matter was instituted in connection with suspicions of the illegality of the Yurchenko order issued in 2012 on the transfer of a land plot, which housed the landfill and security category into the category of agricultural land.
