The organizer of a rally against the arbitrariness of the Moscow authorities was attacked

Activist Vadim Korovin, who was planning to lead a concerted rally against the arbitrariness of the Moscow authorities and the illegal demolition of garages, was attacked at the entrance with pepper gas when he left his house on the morning of February 7 to go to the rally.

“I walked up to my car, started it, tried to get out, but my exit was blocked. Then I headed in the other direction, but they blocked it there too,” Korovin told Mediazona. After that, a man approached his car, sprayed pepper gas into the activist’s eyes, hit him several times and disappeared. Korovin wrote a statement to the police. In his opinion, the company "IDSPARS", which is engaged in the demolition of garages in the area of ​​​​Vernandsky Avenue, was involved in the attack.

The attack occurred around 10 a.m., while a rally at the Red Gate in defense of Article 35 of the Constitution, which protects private property, was scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Later, Korovin announced that he would still be able to come to the rally.
