A message appeared on the instagram of the Ministry of Culture, which says: “What a pity that Konstantin refused our financial support, and in an interview now says completely different.”
Earlier, the director told the Interfax agency that the project did not receive a “no government support ruble”. The producers of the studio turned to the Ministry of Culture three times, “and literally set us out three times,” and helped as a result in Roskino and Aeroflot.
“I am striking in the indifference of the state. A year of cinema, there is a pathos, there are words - but in fact, everyone does not care. We did not see support, ”said the bronze.
8 million rubles were spent on creating the cartoon “We cannot live without space”, work on it lasted 4.5 years. The cartoon received more than 60 international awards, including the prize of the Animation Festival in Ansi , and was nominated for the Oscar Award in the category "Best Short Animated Film".
In this category, four more films apply for the American Film Academy, the best of which the Russian multiplier considers the “World of the Future” Don Herzfeld and the “Supercomkanda Sanjei” of the Pixar studio. Konstantin Bronzite is going to come to the Oscars, which will take place in Los Angeles on February 28.
PS Today, January 8, at a press conference in Moscow, Minister of Culture Vladimir Medinsky made a statement contrary to the message on the instagram of the Ministry of Culture. As Interfax reports, the minister said: “I remember this cartoon well. It is funded in the fall of 2012. The amount of state support is about five million rubles. ”
Medinsky also said that the help of Roskino, who is working under the contract with the Ministry of Culture and which is its subordinate institution, is dealing with the help in resolving some organizational issues related to the Bronzite trip to Los Angeles.
